Expatriates welfare and overseas employment minister Nurul Islam on Saturday returned home from Qatar after on a four day official visit to the gulf state.
The minister will hold a press conference on Sunday to inform the recent issues discussed about manpower recruitment between two countries, said Jahangir Alam, PRO to the minister.
He said press conference will be held at Probashi Kalyan Bhaban at 11:30am on Sunday.
In invitation of Qatari labour and social affairs minister Abdullah Saleh Al Khulaifi, the Bangladesh minister went to Qatar.
During the visit, Bangladesh delegation, led by the minister sat in bilateral meeting with Qatari counterpart in Doha.
According to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training, Qatar has been recruiting Bangladeshi workers since 1976. About 480,000 Bangladeshi workers have so far gone to Qatar with employment visas, data show.
