Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment minister Nurul Islam on Thursday urged the Non-Resident Bangladeshis to come up with huge investment for the capital markets and pay big role to contribute to the country’ development activities.
‘The congenial atmosphere is prevailing in the country for the socioeconomic development. The people of the country are part and parcel of such development. The present government is very friendly to the establishment of the industries,’ he said.
The minister made the remarks while inaugurating a three-day long Capital Market and Investment Fair that began in the port city on Thursday.
Chittagong Stock Exchange organized the fair in the city’s GEC Convention Hall from February 1 to February 3. This is the sixth edition of the fair and fourth in Chittagong.
The EWOE minister expected that the fair would be helpful to create awareness among the investors. He asked investors to invest more in the country’s capital market instead of foreign country.
CSE’s chairman Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, CSE’s managing director M Shaifur Rahman Majumdar, BSEC’s chairman M Khairul Hossain and CSE’s director major (Retired) Emdadul Islam addresses the program.
Sakib Al Hasan also present in the program as a goodwill ambassador.
