A total of 734,181 workers from Bangladesh got overseas jobs in 2018, according to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training.
The highest number of Bangladeshi workers got jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with over 2.57 lakh alone, showed the BMET data, which were released on Thursday.
The KSA remained as the largest destination for Bangladeshis thought migration to the KSA halved in the outgoing year.
Malaysia became the second largest destination by employing over 1.75 lakh workers during the last year.
Qatar became the third, Oman fourth and Singapore fifth employing consecutively over 76,000, 72,000 and 41,000 in 2018, the BMET data showed.
Overseas migration drastically fell in Bahrain, Jordan Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and the KSA.
Nearly 20,000 workers migrated to Bahrain in 2017 but only 811 workers got jobs in this country in 2018.
Female migration also declined significantly in last year.
