Two Bangladeshis killed in Malaysia

At least two Bangladeshi workers were killed being hit by a pile of pallets loaded with boxes of dates at a warehouse in the Lorong Perindustrian Bukit Minyak area in Malaysia on Sunday.

Malaysian National News Agency Bernama quoting local police said the deceased were identified as  Ali Md Baker, 32, and Rabbani Borhan Uddin, 26.

Those Bangladeshis were working at the warehouse of a dates marketing company for several years,said Seberang Perai Tengah police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid.

‘From investigation on workers at the premises, it was found the two Bangladeshis were unloading boxes of dates when a wooden pallet with boxes of dates fell on them,’ he said.

Malaysia is a major destination for Bangladeshi workers, said officials.
